4Good for its function
By CUNPDX
This is my 3rd treadmill over the years, so I'm familiar with the competition. Treadmills in this class will last 2-5 years if you are lucky, and I understood that when purchasing it. I selected this one because of the price, and because it is only 62 pounds - easy to move around. My prior treadmills were around 200 pounds, and I will tell you that is a problem sometimes. This one arrived in tact, and most of it was already together. Mainly just have to connect the arms and display to the body. The instructions are not accurate, but I was able to just look at it to make sure I was doing the right thing. It really was pretty easy, and I am not a mechanically inclined kind of guy. Be aware that you will end up with a screw that is not used and so forth; the instructions are not perfect and were probably written for a prior model. My only warning (not really a complaint) is that the treadmill measures in Kilometers and not miles. I'll have to figure out how many miles = how many kilometers and then setup my workout routine. I am an avid treadmill user and generally peak at 6.5 MPH during my workout. This treadmill goes to 7.5 MPH tops. That is just enough for me. Because it is light I can move it around as I need to do so. I will post another review after I have used this for a few months. I can tell immediately that this is better than its predecessor, which didn't have great reviews (it was just too small and lacked power). Stay away from the Merit treadmills - they are a b**ch to put together. Also, I am not a big proform fan. They are really loud and heavy. Hope this helps in making your decision.

2This Has Pro's and Con's ...
By Samantha G.
Treadmill arrived on time with quick delivery.

Box was damaged with some slight scratching on the machine and one bent piece that we managed to re-straighten most of the way. This issue would be easily solved if the company would invest a couple of dollars on bubble wrap.

It comes with almost NO protective packaging whatsoever. Be warned, if you want to return it, YOU have to pay for the shipping back, as well as return it in its original box (even if that box is un-useable). They also sent the wrong set-up instructions.

Pro's:

1) Small/compact - Doesn't take up the room of a regular sized treadmill.

2) Very light weight - At 1/3 the weight of your average treadmill (approx. 65lbs compared to 200lbs), great if you live upstairs or move often.

3) Quiet operation - Belt and motor only.

4) Good for walking your dog as well as yourself. ;)

Cons:

1) Light weight - This is both a pro and con, as it does not feel as sturdy/stable as its heavier counterparts.

2) Good for walking only - See con #1. Although you technically can run on it, due to its shakey stability, I wouldn't recommend it.

3) Loud control panel - When in operation, the motor and belt are very quiet. However, the beeping that changing the speed makes is NOT. Don't plan on using this if someone in your household is sleeping. (Husband had to disconnect it)

4) Slippery belt - I have no idea what this belt is made of but its quite slippery. Another reason to only walk.

5) KM instead of Miles - This isn't a big deal for me as I walk just for time. But if you're tracking distance, it may be annoying.

6) Control panel not lit - There is no backlight to the control panel so seeing anything on it is difficult, even in a lighted room.

7) Non cushioned - Higher end treadmills have a shock absorbing deck for joint protection. No such luck here. Its just belt on plastic. Which also makes each step drag a bit, even with a well lubricated deck.

8) Overpriced! - This machine is worth somewhere between $150-$175. What you're paying for is the lightweight. If you can manage 119lbs, I would suggest getting a mid-range model like the Weslo Cadence G 5.9 Treadmill. They are sturdier, have stronger motors (so you can run), cushioning and more bells and whistles for about the same price.

If I didn't live up 4 flights of steep stairs, I would have gotten the Cadence treadmill instead. But the extreme light weight of this model was the selling point for me.

UPDATE:

Due to the Non-cushioned deck, I ended up selling this machine on Craigslist. My joints just hurt to bad to keep it. I would NOT recommend this treadmill.

4It's what we wanted
By Desert Dweller
We wanted a lightweight, reasonably sized treadmill that could be easily moved room-to-room by anyone in our household - we got what we wanted. Although it's designed for jogging, we use it for brisk walks. It was easy to assemble and we're very satisfied with our purchase.
