Not an exact match for Pacemaster Silver XP
By A. Reh-Gingerich
First: The deck is the right size for a Pacemaster Silver XP and has holes drilled to mount it to the base in the four corners. I was able to make it work.
However: No instructions are supplied, and Treadmilldoctor.com has insufficient instructions on their website. If you order this, make sure that you do not throw your old deck away until you receive the new one, because you will need it to use as a pattern for the new one.
What you will receive is a nicely finished board, pre-drilled three times along each side. The middle holes were a problem for me because my treadmill had cushioning plugs screwed into the underside of the old deck in this exact location. The pre-drilled holes in the new deck were too big for the screws, so I had to find a different way to mount the cushioning plugs. (I used wall anchors in the oversized holes, plus tape to make sure that the plugs stayed in place.) That was the first surprise.
Next thing to know is that you will need to transfer all of the hardware on your existing deck to the new deck. So don't throw away any screws, washers, brackets or fixtures. You'll need to get out a tape measure or ruler and measure the exact locations of the holes on the old deck so that you can make sure to drill the right holes to finish up the actual "replacement" deck. You'll need to drill holes for: Two underside metal belt guides (make sure you get them in the exact location on the new deck), the treadmill side covers, and the treadmill end caps.
All in all, the project took me about 4 hours, mostly due to the additional unexpected surface preparation. But the deck seems to be of high quality, and is the exact size you'll need for the Pacemaster Silver XP. A better picture showing the entire surface of the deck would be useful on Amazon, or a diagram of the pre-drilled holes on Treadmilldoctor.com
